Mark is a fourth generation Piper to work for the company. After receiving his BA in Finance from the University of Colorado in 1991, Mark worked for National Bank of Detroit for three years in the Asset Based Lending Group. He then moved out to California to work as a lender at Silicon Valley Bank focusing on equipment and working capital lines of credit to start-up software companies. Mark returned to Piper Realty in 1996. He is currently focused on Property Management and Commercial Sales. In addition to working at Piper Realty, Mark’s other real estate endeavors include past President of the Flint Area Association of Realtors, CCIM member, past board member DACBOR/CBOR, and Board Member MiCAR. Marks other interests include jogging, golf, tennis, and spending time with his family.
Ryan joined Piper Management Group in 2000 on a full time basis after having spent most of his early childhood in and around the property management business. After earning a Bachelor degree in Finance from Michigan State University, Ryan has gone on to excel in all aspects of the property management field including family, senior, LIHTC and condo. In addition, Ryan holds the CCIM designation recognizing him as an expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. When not at Piper, Ryan enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with his family.
Bob joined Piper Management Group in February 2017 and brings over 20 years of multi-family, senior and LIHTC leadership experience to the team. He holds a Michigan Real Estate license and earned his Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Northwood University. He has established a solid operational and business planning background by developing trustworthy internal and external customer relationships. He prides himself by never assigning a project or task he has not done already or is not willing to do himself. When not at Piper, Bob enjoys attending his children’s sporting events and getting outdoors to spend quality time with his family.
Kevin joined Piper Management Group in December 2019 and brings over 20 years of business management experience. He holds a National Center for Housing Management Tax Credit Specialist certification. He has operational and customer service background from his past experience to help with customer relationships. He takes pride in himself by meeting all challenges head on every day. When not at Piper, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife and son and being outdoors.
Michelle joined Piper Management Group in 2019 bringing 15 years of management experience with 10 years and counting exclusively in the affordable housing industry. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Western New Mexico University and holds several certifications from NCHM in HUD, LIHTC, and HOME programs. Michelle has worked in all areas of affordable housing beginning as a site manager and working her way to Compliance Manager. She approaches the ever evolving and complex issues affordable housing encounters head on to ensure her team is following all applicable program requirements correctly. When not at Piper, Michelle enjoys playing Pokémon and exploring new areas travelling with her family.
Janet joined Piper in 1980 as a data entry typist, sales assistant and front office admin. Over the years, she has learned her way into property accounting, employee payroll and benefits administration, bank account reconciliations and compliance. When she is not at the office, Janet enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Kim joined Piper in 1998 after relocating to Michigan. Prior to that, she earned degrees from her local business college, community college and SUNY-Fredonia. Her role began as a front desk receptionist; now she is working as our Accounts Payable Data-Entry Clerk, assisting the Regional Property Managers with vendor paperwork and payments. When not working, Kim enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering with her church’s community-outreach programs, and serving as a planning-committee member for her local Crop Hunger Walks.
Carrie joined Piper in March 2007 as a bookkeeper after years of retail management. When Carrie is not working at Piper she enjoys time with her family and friends.
JoAnne joined Piper in March 2020 and brings over 20 years of accounting experience in both the public and private sector. Her past work has included preparation of account entries to document all financial transactions to enable accurate summary and analysis of financial status. Having served as both an individual accountant and as part group accounting effort, JoAnne has proven herself as a leader and as a team player. She can take charge and identify key objectives when needed and has an excellent record of completing projects in a timely manner. When not at Piper, JoAnne enjoys traveling with her family.
